A cow caught in the brilliance of the afternoon sun
After a long hard summer of renovation on the gallery and then preparing for the Artisans Road Trip I needed to do something that was just fun. Holy Cow was the result of this need. I was looking through old photo’s and this one of the black whiteface cow just jumped out at me. The effect of the sun on her coat is what spoke to me. The effect of the sun on different surfaces has been the focus of my paintings for several years. It is my hope that you will enjoy my Holy Cow as much as I enjoyed painting her.
