Western

List of all Galleries

The first time I saw pictures of the mountains I said "When I grow up, I want to go see the pretty mountains." I have had a love affair with the west my entire life. Cowboys, horses and mountains are all I have ever wanted to paint. I am still the happiest when these elements are in my work.

Bringing Up The Rear

Older cows and calves tend to fall to the rear.

Gathering the cattle to change pastures is just one of the jobs that is still done on horseback on many ranches. The older cows and the younger calves get tired before they reach their new pasture and must be urged on until they arive.

Wisdom On Her Lips

Two Indian women in conversation

These two old friends are deep in conversation, one can only guess what they might be talking about. My guess is that they were discussing their grandchildren and how much fun it is to see them at their first pow wow.
