Cattle

Since I paint so many horses and cowboys it seems like a natural progression to paint cattle. I have been doing a lot of studying and practicing and now I finally have something to show you.

Country

Being born and raised in the country means that I take much of country life for granted. Our lifestyle is much more relaxed. I don't even have to lock my car when I go to the gallery. I can take the time to appreciate the rust patterns on the old tractor or laugh at the chickens in the yard. Unfortunately our way of life is fast disappearing just like the old barns that are falling into total disrepair.

Equine

Horses, horses and more horses. When I was little, people worried about me because all I ever wanted to do was ride horses or draw them. At age thirteen I knew I wanted to be an artist and paint horses when I grew up. I still do.

Floral

My mother loved Flowers. She had flowers in the house. She had flower gardens all over the yard. She even had flower pictures on the walls of our home. I guess she rubbed off on me because every once in a while I just have to paint a flower.

Landscapes

When I first started teaching, most of my paintings were of people or horses indoors or in front of buildings, I had never done a landscape. It soon became evident that if I was going to teach these people to paint, I had better learn the fine art of painting trees. Easier said then done. Today , landscapes is one of my major focuses.

Originals

There is something special about owning an original piece of art. The quality of the gi`clee prints today is amazing but there is still a depth that just can't matched in a print.

Reproductions

It is always exciting to see a new painting come out in print. It is gratifying to me that so many people love my work and it makes me happy to be able to make them available at a price that is more affordable.

Western

The first time I saw pictures of the mountains I said "When I grow up, I want to go see the pretty mountains." I have had a love affair with the west my entire life. Cowboys, horses and mountains are all I have ever wanted to paint. I am still the happiest when these elements are in my work.
