This was my first Pow Wow and it was wondrous. All of the colors were swirling together in the bright sunlight. All of the participants were swept up in the excitement of the day and so was I. The photo of these two ladies was my favorite for the day, but the red dress was very scarry. The red had to be smooth but it also had to have a deep velvety texture that does not work easily in watercolor. I believe it was several years after the Pow Wow before I attempted to paint the ladies and many many years after that that I had these prints made. I hope you like it as much as I do.
